Tetris.... everybody loves Tetris. I know I love Tetris <3. This is my (un?)faithfully reproduced version with nice looking rounded blocks.

Even Better Than Pong!!! XD

So one day I decided to do a revamp of Tetris using OpenGL and SVG graphics... made it over a lazy weekend. Didn't turn out so well, Inkscape being a real pain in the ass, slick's interpretation of Inkscape SVGs an even bigger pain in the ass. It is a bit more colourful than the previous one. I hope to fix all the silly problems and rewrite it as Tetris 2.5 =)

What this is inspired by, I'm not sure. Maybe all those years of playing space-impact on my old 3310... sigh.

Well anyway, This is one of my favourites. The explosions are sweet, and the gameplay is simple: Destroy as many green triangles as you can. It is also my first game to allow the player to change his/her controls. It even has 2-player! (bit of an afterthought hack-job that hasn't been tested very much)

Please feel free to report any bugs =)

w00t there is finally an update to the crummy old game I made years ago. I still have the old one available because it has some (strangely buggy) last minute feature....

So this new version has been slightly eaten up on the inside in an attempt to increase performance so we can decrease performance with more features. You'll see when you download it.

The major thing we changed was that there is no longer a two-player option because two-player was totally messed up and some poor guy had to pilot the purple one. Now you can play two-player by just taking turns, seeing who can beat the other's score! ;)

I also added some cool visuals. At the beginning I have put in a LOADING BAR! So now you don't have to worry about a random black screen while your game loads.... and most importantly, now that I am using a slightly different loading mechanism the gameplay is smoother... I think.

Also, there are some intro logos (if you want, you can skip them) and also some uber-cool fading transitions. XD . And also I made the help page into a bunch of more informative pages that you can scroll through with the arrow keys.

The total pwnage update that most will notice is the mesmerizing starry background that I made when working an experimental game idea that might become Arcade 2 (!!!!!) which will be total awesomeness! And on top of that, the particle engine has been used for the bullets now too :D and they look 1337!

I also tweaked a few gameplay setting (very subtle, can find out what they are? tell me if you do and I'll give you a surprise)... and removed the irritating music (you could switch it off in the previous one but I just totally took it out because something better is coming).

This is a hash-job beta... it is playable, and works fine ingame, and high-scores work... but I haven't tested the control system since I removed player two (cringe! might crash the whole game if you try changing controls!) Or as I speculate, it WILL crash the game because of an ArrayOutOfBoundsException because the game will be looking for player-two's controls but they just don't exist! So please, just use the default for now (arrow keys to move, space for guns, left-shift to fire rockets).

Other things are totally out of place, like the help files don't match the changes, the music on-off is still there (doesn't do anything but waste resources) and the particles on-off only turns off explosions, not gun trails... Also if you notice in the game files with all the images and crap, a lot of old images are there which aren't used. Just leave them alone or your game might go boom!

And please tell me if there is anything else I did wrong >.< so in the next release I will at least have fixed mostly everything. I think v1.2 will have a lot of menu reworks and removal of obsolete files and maybe a boost in performance. Mostly needs to be cleaned up, got very dusty after all these years.

Happy Hunting!
